Welcome to our first (and hopefully last) Virtual Sports Day.
We're really sorry that we can't hold our usual Sports Day this year - it's always one of the highlights of our calendar. But lockdown isn't going to stop us - instead of being able to join together we hope that as many children as possible, whether you are at home or at school, will join in with this year's virtual event. Our Sports Day would have taken place on Wednesday 17th June - but you can hold yours on any day that suits you best.
On the links below you will find activity cards explaining 14 different activities that you can join in with. You can try all of them or just do the ones that you like best, that's up to you. All the activities have been designed to use things that you are likely to have at home. If you haven't, it doesn't matter, simply adapt the activities as best you can. Grown ups can join in too - the more the merrier!
The more activities you join in with, the more House Points you will be able to gain for your House. Fill in your scores on the score sheet below - either print it off or create your own if you don't have a printer at home.
When you have completed the activities, don't forget to make yourself a medal using the suggestions below. The edible medals sound great! You can also print off a certificate by following the link or why not create a certificate of your own.
We would love to see photographs of you completing your challenges, wearing your medals or holding up your certificates. We will put up a gallery of photos below so keep a look out for these. Please send photos to the email address below, indicating that you are happy for these to be used on the website:
This is also the address to send your score sheet to so that we can count up all the House Points and add these to our House totals. We will announce the winning House at the end of term. If you are in Moles, Badgers, Rabbits or Hedgehogs, you won't have a house yet. Don't worry - still send your score sheets in and we will add your House Points on once we know what house you are going to be in.
The main purpose of our Sports Day is to have fun. We hope that you will enjoy all the activities and feeling part of our Godinton Family.
Watch this space for photos of some of the children who have taken part.
Well done everyone!
