The Start of the Project
Godinton Primary School is delighted to be working in partnership with Sint-Paulus School in Kortrijk, Belgium and Szkola Podstawowa nr 18 in Tychy, Poland on an exciting collaborative project entitled ‘Show and Tell – No More Wars.’ The project started following a successful bid for European funding as part of the Erasmus initiative which is designed to provide children across Europe with opportunities to discover more about each other’s cultures and to celebrate the rich diversity of their lives. Launched to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World war, the project will see children working together on art, drama, music and poetry activities which demonstrate a shared desire for peace and reconciliation.

The first part of the project will see children from Godinton and Sint-Paulus School flying out to Poland to visit the children of Tychy in May. Then in November, children from Godinton and Tychy will travel out to Belgium. The final stage of the project will be a big celebration event involving all 3 schools in Ashford. So we have many exciting events to look forward to!.
