Our website:

Our website is provided by Zulogic. We do not use Cookies or collect anonymous information about users' activity on the site.

 

Social Media:

We occasionally publish educational content on our school YouTube page. Comments are disabled on this site but should you see anything inappropriate, please report them to ict@godinton.kent.sch.uk

 

Data collected for school use

Management Information Systems

We only collect the information that we need for the day to day running of the school. Data is collected fairly and lawfully in accordance with the data protection principles and data protection legislation.

Personal data for staff, students and parents is held within our Management Information System, Capita SIMS.

We also use SIMS to send pupil data to the government and Local Authority.

 

Third party Software Solutions

We use Parentmail, to communicate with parents and to collect payments online. We use Biostore to record school dinner transactions and we use sQuid to collect school dinner payments.

We use BPS for budget planning and iTrent/Capita for payroll.

 

Backup

Server and network data is securely backed up on the cloud using Redstor.

 

Closed-circuit television (CCTV)

We collect CCTV footage on site for security and safeguarding reasons.

  • It is not accessed by third parties.
  • Law enforcement agencies may request footage as part of an investigation.

 

Remote Support

The following companies may require remote access onto our school server to investigate and fix any issues:

  • EIS for SIMS and BPS
  • Microsoft for Office 365
  • Biostore for School dinner transactions

They connect using software such as EIS connect or Logmein.
