Residential visits.

At Godinton we believe in enhancing the curriculum and encouraging the children to extended their learning beyond the classroom.  As such we offer the children the opportunity to take part in residential visits during their time at our school.

The new National Curriculum states all pupils should be taught to take part in outdoor and adventurous activity challenges both individually and within a team, as part of the physical education syllabus.  We believe outdoor and adventurous activities benefits can be applied to all areas of the curriculum reaching far beyond physical education.  Learning is a lifelong journey so why not have an adventure along the way?

We visit a variety of residential sites and offer the children a range of activities to build confidence, develop their ability to work well with others (Team Building), and to give the children increased opportunities to participate in more adventurous activities.

Since 2016, for each of our residential visits we create a webpage that is updated on a daily basis to allow parents to see what their children have been up to.
